I just saw this and am wondering how did it. Throughout the act, I noticed a few fishy things though. When the blade is coming down, it is spinning in the wrong direction to cut. It is spinning the other way. Also, the "not-part-of-the-act" lady holding his ankles, just [ia7e6ae1908]happens[/ia7e6ae1908] to let go of his ankles right before the "sawing" is finished. What do you guys think. Feedback please.

He is magic. And uses Elmer's Body Glue when he is done, so you can not even notice where he was cut.

Oh yeah, he has no blood too.

Criss Angel uses a LOT of confederates in his acts. I've practiced magic for most of my life, probably since about 7-8 years old, and I've always been more drawn to sleight-of-hand, up-close magic with ordinary objects that rely on pure skill of manipulation rather than flashy stage shows with trap doors and gimmicks and secret assistants and camera tricks. Watching an expert in card or coin manipulation is far more enjoyable to me than watching Criss Angel's act.

But, although I don't care for either him or Blaine, I have to give credit to both for the resurgence in the popularity of magic. It's a cyclical thing, where every 20 years or so the public gets interested in magic, which spurs a lot of business in the magic industry and leads to discoveries of new talent and inventions (about 90% of the illusions presented today are either entirely or partially copies of illusions that have been around for decades, and sometimes centuries).

Well personally, I do not think TV is a good median for TV. How are we to know that they are ACTUALLY spectators and not in on the trick, and paid to show reactions? What about edited film? Too many ifs.

I rememeber my buddy's mom and sister talking about David Blane and all his shit.

Then I laughed, and they looked at me. And said this

"He's gifted, if only he would use his power to help mankind...this man is ...amazing"

Then they tried to convince me how Mattel really did make a hoverboard.

I shit you not.

I found this forum once that showed a video of Chris Angel's explaination of the levatation. Holy shit were the magicians on that forum pissed.

"I paid $40 for this trick."
"Take this down, you're ruining magic."

Fucking hilarious.

Yep, that's quite a serious offense to magicians. They take the whole "never divulge your methods outside of training other magicians" vow extremely seriously.

I've let a few card & coin sleights slip, because I practiced them constantly everywhere I went, so as to build muscle memory and make it a natural sleight. To this day it's hard for me to pickup a business card or playing card without absent-mindedly back-palming it. That's hard to do around people without them noticing what you're doing. lol But other than that, I don't share secrets with laymen. However I have been known to give vague, general pointers like "he uses a confederate" or whatever, when it doesn't give too much away. Especially when people are so naive as to believe somebody like Blaine has supernatural powers. lol

So wait, Blaine doesn't have super powers?

...but seriously, if I wasn't engaged I'd want to be a magician. You know those guys get more action than they can handle. You ever see some of Blaine's women?
