How can I make them work for me? D I have friends over often and sell them soda, and snacks and make good money, But any other ideas? D. They're all set up with LCDs as well. All very playable specs for anything up to BF2, BF2 works as well. Give me some suggestions to make them work for me. All networked as well.

What do you mean? As one big super-computer?

And you sell your friends drinks and snacks?!

16-09-2006 12:03:02

lol you sell your friends sodas. Are you in college or something?

16-09-2006 12:03:15

Ummm... Have them pay for a LAN party. It's kind of mean to make your friends pay though.

HAHA! you [i8857493b94]sell[/i8857493b94] your friends snacks when they come over. lol. i wouldn't be going to your house often. and I agree with J4, if they really are your friends, why dont' you just let them play and snack for free. thats what I do. P

hehehhehe

16-09-2006 12:14:39

I can't believe you sell your "friends" soda and snacks. So you want us to tell you how to set up a gaming lan so you can make more money off of them?

16-09-2006 12:16:22

I agree...for friends, coming to visit, drinks and snacks should be free...but if your in highschool....then during school sell away, or even meeting up somewhere...but when they go to your place....it should really be free.

Wow. Besides the point of you SELLING it. Your friends actually BUY it?

i sell your mom bawls.

tjwor

16-09-2006 15:37:31

idk, i can see the sellin to friends, in my case if I had 8 friends over to play poker, and I was giving them all the pop and snacks they wanted, my parents would get pissed and make me pay for it, because if it was free they'd drink 3-5 pops each, when they are paying even a quarter per pop they'll drink 2 or so, and if my parents complain I have more money to buy it for us the next time... selling it to make a profit is different than selling it just so you can buy more for the next time though...

cwncool

16-09-2006 15:52:36

yeah. i agree with tjwor. or I would just say, "everyone chips in for the pop and pizza" or whatever so you all are paying the same and you aren't spending out your wazzoo, but for profit roll

Only crap, that's just being straight up cheap man. We used to have at least 3-4 LAN parties a month back in the earlier years of high school playing HaloCE/Halo 2 and the only thing was really a [i4832e7358b]requirement[/i4832e7358b] was that everyone would pitch like $10 each and we'd have like a ton of money to buy a bunch of pizzas and pop to last everyone the entire night.

Hey, same here. Back when Halo 1 didnt have online multiplayer (and we didnt use XBC), we used to always agree to meet up at one person's house, and pitch in for a bunch of junk food assortments.

Man, those were the days.

We were some serious hardcore HaloCE players too. Back in grade 9 and 10 my buddy lived close to the school and we had a 75 minute lunch period so we would have like 8-12 guys goto his house even during our lunch period and he would have the mutiple TVs/Xbox's already setup so we could start playing as soon as we got there. We didn't do it everyday, but we did play [b1edb42919d]a lot[/b1edb42919d]. I haven't been to a Halo-related LAN since July when I went to a Halo 2 tournament in Chicago, it was fun.. but just not the same as HaloCE - oh how I miss it.

Excuse the double post, btw.

Wow, a 75 minute lunch period?!?! How long was your total school day, ie, from what time to what time?

Akademikz

17-09-2006 11:53:46

Our school day was from 840am to 316pm. We had 5 periods everyday all 76 minutes each plus the 4 minute transitions to get from class to class and stuff.

Four of those 5 periods would be classes and then one period lunch. )

17-09-2006 13:48:51

dude...do you have menus posted for your friends to order off of?

Seriously tho, I understand friends bartering a quick trade "i'll bring soda if you bring snacks" or even "hey I'm getting pizza, bring a few bucks if you want any" but right out selling them snacks makes you look like a dick.

So I would either not go to your house, or I would bring my own food like I do at the movie theater.

A kid I used to work with pays $300/week to live at home. His parents then charge him and any friends he has over $1.50 for a soda (12oz can), and other prices for other random food/drinks/snacks. Granted, he gets his laundry done for free...but that's pretty steep!

$1.50 for a soda?! I'll bring my own, thanks.
