On labor day me and two friends drove 150 miles to Ocean City beach. My car was running fine and all seemed well.... On the way home i noticed my car was skaing a bit and i figured it was just bumps on the road. A few minutes later though the car shuts off by itself and we had to push it away from the road.... A little while later i suggested we try the car again and the car seemed to work fine, but after a few minutes it shuts off again. This time though it shuts off next to an Advanced Auto Parts store. I looked under the hood and noticed thecar was almost out of
radiator fluid so i went into the store and bought some and put it in.
we waited for an hour and tried the car again. It worked for about 5 minutes and then it shut off again cry
I had no choice but to get the car towed to the nearest service station
and pick it up later. (of course with my luck the service station was 154 miles away from my house and it was gonna take 90 minutes for the tow tuck to even arrive to the service station) One of my friends called his mom to pick us up.
A few minutes after the tow guy left the police came by and said the tow guy called the police and said we were smoking Pot. (While we were waiting for the tow guy my 2 friends were smoking a Hookah. They put the hookah in my trunk after the tow guy arrived)
Theres probably a better chance of the pope doing POT than me so I was pretty suprised to say the least roll My friends were trying to explain what a hookah was but the police thought they were just making it up.
We had to present our ID's and get searched. Eventually the cop lets us go and my friends mom arrives to drive us home.

Wow, sorry to hear about that. What kind of car did you have? There's nothing worse than your car breaking down hours from your house. I'm surprised the guys from Auto Zone didn't jump on your car and try to figure out what was wrong. The guys in my town are car junkies and make love to cars, not woman

Hookahs, even for smoking tobacco aren't very discreet and do tend to raise red flags to a lot of ppl.

In my dream last night my car broke down shrug It kept overheating when i'd speed up and as soon as I stopped it went back down to the regular temparature instantly, so I was gonna drive it back just driving then stopping then driving then stopping, since I was only 3-4 miles from my college, it was aslo winter, but then i got woke up and didn't have to worry about it shrug

On my way back from work my car started to drastically slow down whenever I let off the gas and it seemed like something was causing an rediculous amount of drag on the car's movement. It started to get really bad that I was afraid I was going to lose control of the car. I pulled over and called for my dad to come and check it out and he drove it home. Turned out that the air filters for the engine were so badly worn and dirty that the engine wasn't getting any air to cool down.

This was a couple of years ago with my old car. A friend and I went to the movies...after the movie, we came out to my car and I noticed that I left my external CD player on (couple of years ago indeed). I then tried to start the car, and it started a little odd...took longer than usual, but it eventually started. I thought it was just a weak battery since I left the CD player on. Driving along, and its late at night so we decide to stop at a gas station to get something to eat. I hear a little "puttputtputt" from the tailpipe, so I look, and I notice a very little amount of white smoke coming out of it. I don't really know a lot about cars, but at that moment I remember my dad distinctly saying "white smoke is bad." So I told my friend we'd better get home. We were about 30mi from my house at that time, so we get on the interstate and drive. Going about 70, nothing is wrong, its dark out...late at night...all of the sudden my temp guage beeps. I look at it, and my engine is very very very hot. Well I know enough about cars to try and not burn up the engine. So I slow down, pull over, stop and shut the car off. It is at this point that I look out the window and realize that I can't see ANYTHING. White smoke has totally enveloped the car...I can't imagine how the people behind us this whole time felt. Anyway, after letting it cool for awhile, I start it back up, it barely starts...I then proceed to drive the next 15 miles at roughly 20 mph, watching the guage to keep the engine temp down. I finally make it home, without burning up the engine. What happened was the head gasket blew, flooding the engine with anti-freeze (or some other liquid...I forget). The white smoke was the anti-freeze boiling in the engine.

Today I was at a stop light and it turned green; I started driving but the car stalled. I started it up and it stalled again, and then again. The car behind me started honking its horn.
By the time I realized I was in 3rd gear instead of 1st, the light had turned red again.
Then I cried. (
Heh. Stick shift ftl (unless it's a really hot car lol).
I wish I had a car.. (

my girlfriend and I were getting gas in my parents bigass expedition..when I went in to pay the gas attendant (I live in Oregon so we dont pump it ourselves lol ) came up to me and said we had a major leak..antifreeze was all over the ground.
I was able to fill up and pull into a parking lot right across the street..didnt know anything about cars so i called my parents then called AAA to tow it to the ford shop.
One problem was my girlfriend had 2 really nice bikes in the car, and her mom being smart as she is did not want them going to the ford shop overnight. She said someone would break in and steal them. Of course I disagreed and thought nothing would happen.
Well anyways my dad comes to pick us up in his mustang and we somehow managed to fit the bikes in..dont ask how. the tow truck showed up, took the truck away, and we went back to my house with her bikes. The next morning we have a call on our answering machine from the ford dealership saying they didnt lock the doors, people broke in and threw all of our stuff on the pavement...yet we couldnd find anything stolen! Although im sure if the bikes were in there it could have been a different story...

On a family trip, the rental car broke in France. The police couldn't speak English so it took like half an hour to get everything fixed.

neither do I. And yet im being searched by the police in the middle of the night..... Its funny cause I think the cops were more scared of my friends than they were of me. They kept telling my friends not to move and spent a long time searching them. They tapped my pockets and that was the end of it...
btw the guy fromt he service center said that the problem was with my
crankshaft sensor and that hes gonna relace it. Guess its off to google to find out what a crankshaft sensor is..... roll
