I am switching banks and one of the options allows me to get a visa check card. I have a few questions.
What is the difference between a visa check card and a debit card?
Can I use my visa check card wherever credit or debit is accepted?
Can I run my visa check card as credit or as debit? ( I could with my old debit card )
Thanks if anyone knows. The other option at a different bank is a Mastercard Debit Card. MC is accepted at as many places as Visa right?

I have a VISA check card. All check cards liareli debit cards, the VISA/MC ones just work on the respective CC networks. I always run mine as credit unless I need cash back, because (a) I earn reward points, and (b) you have the same VISA (or MC) protections you have when using a CC, whereas there are more risks associated with debit cards.
Yes you can use them as a CC just about anywhere. There are a very few places that claim to not accept them in their Terms of Service, but I've yet to come across one being declined as a debit card.
