Why wouldn't it be legit? It's memory. P

The only thing that bothers me is he doesn't list who makes it.

I'm so sick of these threads. Try to figure it out for yourself. You'll be doing yourself a favor instead of always depending on other people.

06-09-2006 11:11:02

Well I just cant figure out why it would be so much cheaper...

icy

06-09-2006 11:15:49

probably because its shitty ram.

06-09-2006 11:20:56

Exactly why I said that the manufacturer not being listed seemed a bit fishy.

[quote3f59d73fe2="icy"]probably because its shitty ram.[/quote3f59d73fe2]How did you determine that?

icy

06-09-2006 11:42:56

Because its 50 bucks for a gig of old (pc2700) no-name generic memory. I wouldnt get it.

If you do need memory you should buy it now because the prices are starting to increase. Just dont get it from this auction.

Go get Crucial Ram. Excellant stuff without the huge pricetag

www.Crucial.com Because your not overclocking, save money and grab some of that stuff. It wont disappoint

Also check out Twinmos and Buffalo stuff

TFOAF

06-09-2006 13:04:37

Crucial is okay, but not as good as the other brands.

considering your super small budget. any value ram from any reputable company will perform the same.

ocz, corsasir, patriot, pqi, crucial... that's pretty much what i would do

Psh, think that's expensive? I got 3 of http//www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820134066 those.

My mobo can hold 16GB of RAM )

romanodog

06-09-2006 13:19:22

newegg has this brand called rosewill, which i think is newegg's own brand. anyway, it is cheap but it is good. check it out, and read the reviews, those usually help me when i'm deciding on what to buy.

burritopunk

06-09-2006 13:21:24

get some patriot ram from newegg. usually priced well, and good quality.

ffactoryxx

06-09-2006 13:28:23

Guys, he doesnt need any great ram.

Look at the rig. Generic PNY, Kingston Value or whatever would be fine and save him money.

I bet his ram runs at Cas 3 so any generic would do.

Check out pc3200 as well. Might be cheaper and would work fine

ffactoryxx

06-09-2006 13:35:17

In all seriousness, its gonna run you

$100 - 1gb
$50 - 512mb

unless you get stuff used

icy

06-09-2006 13:50:10

actually crucial does make the best memory out there, however it tends to be slightly more expensive.

if you dont want that get kingston valueram or corsair valueselect.
