I finally saw V For Vendetta the other day, and I cant believe how much I liked it, I thought I was going to hate it.

I liked David Gale, neverheard of Hard Candy, American Graffiti is amazing and I want to see A History Of Violence.

TSJ Hard Candy was an independent release made a few months ago. It never got a "big screen release", just a limited one. I got the bootleg off iOffer a while back and it's a hit-or-miss film.

The first time I watched it I never made it all the way through either. The second time I watched it I finished it and it clicked with me.

The movie literally doesn't make a shred of sense until just about the last sentence of the movie, and even then you have to be slightly out of it to grasp the whole concept. It's hard to get but you see the movie in an entirely new light once you do.

The first two Godfather movies were definitely the best. Yesterday, I saw Jet Li's Fearless, it was ok. The Illusionist is a pretty good movie and Jessica Biel definitely helps.

I got 24 hour party people and meant to watch it for the joy division stuff. I liked the Believer as well, and I also like The Beach[=http//imdb.com/title/tt0163978/]The Beach, another Danny Boyle movie even though not many people did.

I've never seen The Beach but heard mixed reviews about it. To be honest, I haven't seen a bad Danny Boyle film yet (but that's not to say he hasn't made shite ones). I even liked A Life Less Ordinary.

Saw Kids when I was 12, that is a really fucked up movie. I think it's one people should experience though, kind of has a "Requiem For a Dream" type of feel.

Edit I liked Sin City. It was pretty interesting and had a good twist. I would sugguest at least renting it.

I watched Garden State and thought it was pretty good. Natalie Portman is a great actor and was great in this. It could've been a bit longer though.

While not a "masterpiece" at all, it should be mandatory that everyone has at least HEARD of the story/plot. It's "Lord of the Flies" with a twist. The corrupted Japanese government in the near future has outlawed rock music and free speech among stuff, and has decided to "weed out" the "delinquent" teenage population by sending random groups of 9th grade middle schoolers (in Japan, High School starts at 10th grade) to a deserted (or made-deserted) island with a duffel bag that has bread, water, a map, and a random weapon. The objective Kill each other, the winner gets to go home and there can only be one winner. It's sick and twisted, and I loved every moment of it.

Gigante; I haven't heard of Cinderella Man, but I'll give it a watch, I've seen the others though.

My brother told me about Battle Royale a couple of years ago and couldn't find it anywhere at all. He said it was unbelievably good.

I also watched Requiem For A Dream and it was really good. If I ever have an inclincation to become a junkie, that's the film to stop me. Also watched A History Of Violence (not as good as I thought it would be, too slow but well acted), Hard Candy (fucked up and amazing, very well acted, written and directed), The Boondock Saints (amazing film, needs more recognition), Enrno THe Smartest Guys In THe Room (completely fucked up and crazy to hear some of the stunts they were pulling and having others pull, eye-opening) and my wife and I are going to watch When The Levee's Broke by Spike Lee (documentary on HBO about Katrina, meant to be really good).

It was really confusing but so well done.

TSJ Battle Royale can be found at your local indy records/DVD shop (i.e. Rasputin's, but I think that's a Bay Area franchise), Hot Topic, or on Netflix.

Oh if any of you guys get stuff off the iTunes Music Store/Movie Store, I suggest getting the shorts on there. The piece called "Cashback" was pretty good.
