You need a good PCI-E 16x card, but you're not willing to spend over $100?

Uhh...make your own video card then. You won't find one.

i wouldnt get it, and i suggest you stick with newegg

and yeah, most people here are right, if you want a good video card, you need to spend $250-$300 usually.

ok another question, which is better AGP or PCIe?

PCI-E By a mile. Its much newer. Plus PCI-E Cards are cheaper then AGP Equivelents. Go PCI-E. For Video editing make sure to get a good proccessor, Video editing is much more CPU intensive.

Well, what do you need the video card for? The video card I recommended can play Guild Wars fine with 1GB Ram.

Hey, well i think i finally decided on my components...

Case - Power Up Doom 2535 Black ATX Mid-Tower Case with Front USB and Audio Ports and 400-Watt 20/24-Pin Power Supply

http//www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1418351&Sku=TC3J-4026

MOBO and CPU - Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe NVIDIA Socket 939 Motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.40GHz Processor with Fan

http//www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1908178&CatId=2019

Vid Card - XFX GeForce 6800 Xtreme / 256MB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card

http//www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1828833&Sku=P450-8576

and other crap, but the 400 watt PSU that comes with the case isn't powerful enough for a system like I'm building, w/ 2-4 Harddrives, 2 DVD-Burners, MOBO, and fans, so what I'm asking is does anyone have a link to a good 500+ watt PSU, preferably under 75 dollars?

Thanks!!

What a waste in my opinion.

Save you money and do research before buying and shelling out all that cash.

All that costs less than the case, psu, cpu and mobo you were getting and are great.

In fact, a 2 year old cpu, gfx card, mobo and 1gb ram would run most games fine.

For example. I have a 4 year old computer

AMD xp2100+ oced to 2.35ghz
1gb twinmos ch-5 ram
epox 8rda+
evga 6800nu with unlocked vetex and extra pipe

I can play fear, doom 3, call of duty 2 all with relatively high setting with resolution around 1280x920 i think it is, Halo is no where near as demanding as these games.

If you want a good bargain, go to forums.anandtech.com and check out thier for sale forum. People are always selling thier computers cheap that are pretty damn good rigs. Also post in the general hardware area about how much you want to spend and what your looking for. They are some of the best help ever
