got a price range in mind?

i was intending on doing a freebie site for a camera but found that it would take less refs to just go for a paypal option and look for camera deals. i ended up getting a canon sd700is for around 350.

mmm.. i would recommend you these two cause it's the two cameras i was thinking about and my price range was pretty much the same

Canon SD700 IS[=http//www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_sd700-review/index.shtml]Canon SD700 IS Camera I ended up getting because it looks classy as heck and the photo quality is amazing. I've had it for around a month and I'm very very happy with it sicne it's very compact and when combined with Corel Paint Shop's noise reduction software, almost all my pictures are perfectly in focus, sharp, and very vibrant color-wise.

Fuji F30[=http//www.dcresource.com/reviews/fuji/finepix_f30-review/index.shtml]Fuji F30 My friend has this camera and I'm very very impressed with the photo quality. There's times when I wish I had bought this camera instead because of the great high ISO performance which would let me use the flash less. Main complaint I have is that it's a bit bigger than I'd like and it's also kinda ugly but that's just my own perspective. Definately your choice if you don't mind the design and you take lots of nighttime shots.

im curious about these fuckers as well. i dont know shit about cameras but was wondering if you want something that takes nice pics, is easy to use as is without lenses and shit, and can take videos, how much do you spend? what brand?

well if you want to spend around 275-300 then go for the Canon SD630[=http//www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_sd630-review/]Canon SD630

This was my cheap option but I decided to spend a bit more after getting a bonus at work. )

i have worked in many digital photography classes and for me the cheapest (high quality) camera that I know of is the Nikon D50, it's a very nice camera or the price.

but dslr's aren't that handy a lot of the time. "hold that pose while i change lens and put on the flash" just doesn't work the the quickie snapshots (

i just picked up a canon sd 600, which is basically the same as the 630 but it has a 2.5" screen as opposed to the 3" screen on the 630. I also think the conrols are a little different on the 630.
I'd recommend either one of those, its a great price/performance ratio.
