i have a large amount of money and i want to put it into something like a stock or savings account how has the best rates or what can i do to grow my money i am not planning to spend wstack dis paper
put it in a cd or a money market
Give it to me and u will gain no money ;)
seriously, though, check out the finance forum over at fatwallet. i also suggest that you get financial advice from those you know are in the business.
you should start investing as young as possible in slow growth stable areas of the market. after a few years u can add short term risky investments if u so desire.
anyway go here

I would suggest investing in Yu Gi Oh cards, their value is supposed to skyrocket soon so you should start buying NOW!

Well, there are all kinds of e-savings accounts nowdays. just search google for savings accounts, and you are sure to run by some.
now, you can open a savings account and hope to get about a 5% return. if that is all the more return you are looking for, you could also consider putting all your money into your paypal account, and opening the moneymarket option. currently the return is 5.4%, and all your money is very liquidible.
the problem with cds now is that you can't really find cds that give out a better interest rate than that. so, if you are wanting to make more money than that, i suggest the stock market. wise idea to take some time studying how it works/ what to look for first. you don't want to get screwed over and end up losing all your money ;)

how much money do you have (round numbers $250 versus $2500 versus $25000) and how long can you leave it alone?

safest bet is a high yield savings account (ING, emigrant) or a CD which, like was said already, have about the same return as those savings accounts, but you can't just take the money out of a CD whenever you want.
savings accounts at your local bank will have a return of like .0000000001% so dont put your money in there if you want it to get you more money.

I have about 10k from freebie sites that I'm looking to invest. Figure I can earn more on my money than if I paid off some college loans.
