ants live in my computer

it's retarded, I see ants crawling in my speaker holes when I try to kill them.


what troubles me is that I can't sue the ants for climbing into my computer and breaking it. ?


also. I bought this liquid plumber stuff today that's supposed to "Blast Clogs in 3 seconds!" well that shit didn't work and it pissed me off. So i'm going to send in the form that gives me my $$ back if i'm not satisfied.

Laptop or desktop?

Put a combat disc in the case if a desktop. If a laptop, tie it up in a plastic bag, then another bag and leave it under your bed or something for a week or so. That should asphyxiate and starve them to death. That should work for desktop speakers too.

At least you don't have centipedes in there... ;)

well they must have been very, very, very small spiders...

Bigger than the common house spider, actually. They were those somewhet less common ones that don't create webs in corners, but are paler and walk real fast. They were dead on the controller board.

but at least it's not roaches. Roaches love to live in electronics. Maybe the ants are not anys but a new breed of mini roaches, and you cant see them come out of the CPU because they turn invisible.

Asphyxiating them is a good idea, as Tholek said.

I would take the casing off, put ant traps inside of it, then put the case back on, then I'd put plastic bags over everything.

Yup, I have killed a couple of those in my tme. They don't always run away when you try to kill them. They're more agressive, and even jump.

Those centipede things drove me nuts when i lived in Philly. They are freaky as hell and fast and shit. I must have killed over 100 of those things in the year I was there

I used to work for a Historical Site and my job was to lay down and collect sticky traps for pest management. I would have to collect the traps and throw them in a garbage bag and then sit in a room and open each trap, count how many bugs were on there and look in a book to determine what kind. Half the bug were still alive thrashing about on the traps, it made me sick everytime.

something similar happened to my friend's gf, it was baby spiders though. A mom must have laid eggs or something. I didnt see, but my friend's description made me about puke.

But what my friend did was put the computer in a garbage bag and filled it with CO2.

then he had to go in and manually remove the dead babies.

Do you eat/drink around your computer? That could explain the ant-infestation.

or you could just keep your laptop away from an ant pile.
