the one thing im pissed about is that while i was saving up money for my new pc, the A8N-SLI motherboard was out of stock and not in the site.. the day after i bought my computr it was back in stock.. jesus i wanted that thing, now i dont have 2 x16 slots.. o well, not like ill need it anyways.

specs

XFX Geforce 7900 GT - 256 mb, 256 bit
Western Digital 160GB
Corsair XMS Series - 2GB

AMD 4200+ X2 Dual Core 2.2GHz Processor
Antec 500W Power Supply

thats pretty much it.. runs great on BF2 high video settings ]

Great job mate, congratz )

Just curious, aren't the higher number of GHz, the faster the pc? I noted that you only have 2.2GHz, which is fine I guess but I thought you'd have more. You see my pc is veritable piece of crap, but it has 2.4GHz...

So what do the GHz really do, make you pc faster? Lol I'm tired of googling everything ;)

the processor core speed dosent say much about a cpu anymore. CPUS kind of topped off around 3.2-3.6 Ghz because of heat and chip makers use new technology like hyperthreading and dual core so the core clock dosent show us those aspects of the chip.

Yeah, pure clock speed doesn't mean much anymore, only when comparing procs within the same family. Comparing Intel Ghz to AMD Ghz is like apples and oranges. If you notice the speed rating on the AMD, it's a 4200, which is AMD's way of saying "it performs similar to what a 4.2Ghz chip would run in the old day of CPU architecture." ) AMD CPU's, and the newer Intel CPU's, perform much faster at slower clock speeds, which reduces power requirements and heat output while allowing for smaller die sizes.

You wrote 4200, so I knew it was X2. There isn't a single-core 4200 (that I recall anyway). ;)
