So like this isn't on my Mac (duh).
My desktop PC has this problem Internet Explorer will open a window. Continuously. Like it'll pop up with some page that can't be loaded/displayed and then go on auto repeat infinite. I'm guessing malware/virus, but can't locate it on the running processes thing so... how do I get rid of it?

do you have any virus scanner? if not download avg free. http//free.grisoft.com ... then use spybot search and destroy and adaware (google search). also you can google the symptoms and sometimes you will find other people in your situation...
