Yeah Ive used amazon before but the problem that ive had with them is that sometimes they take 2-4 weeks to ship.
If you need your books quick like i do now, id go with half.com

I agree that it can be slow unless you choose ones with expedited shipping available. I did expedited shipping and recieved the books within a week. It did cost $30 to ship all 5 books though. (from 5 different vendors)
bookbyte.com, amazon.com, half.com.. google buy textbooks.. No matter where you get them I think they are gonna be about the same price.

Anyone know the difference between "international editions," and otherwise? A textbook for a class I'm taking is not available at the library, which sucks, and is about $130 in the bookstore. There are quite a few ebay and half.com listings that say they're selling "international version Same content, print and paper quality as the US edition. Printed in colors,'" for 1/3 or 1/2 the regular price.
WTH does all that mean?

You can get the ISBN anywhere, so long as you know the author and title.

I believe that if you buy it you will be satisfied. It'll certainly be of poorer production quality than the $130 one but I think the major price savings are license related. I usually go for it when I see an int'l edition for a lot cheaper.

Thanks man. My other grad school books were all purchased at the book$tore, and this time I'm going to be a bit more spendthrift.
