A few questions about moving my plasma tomorrow...

Is it safe to drive with a plasma resting on its face (on blankets of corse) in a car?

Woudl it be safer to put it in teh back seat standing up?

I have a Chrysler 300M and want to know the best way to put it in there w/ my other crap i'm moving... pretty tight squeeze...

So could I lay it on it's face for say 3-4 hours while driving or is that going to mess things up?

Bubble wrap it, then place it on its face

I'm not sure about transporting it but be sure not to let it sit in direct sunlight for that long or anything, that could cause some serious damage to anything like that.

In plasma manuals it says that you shouldn't place it on the face. I would sit it up with lots of bubble wrap and padding. Also, make sure that there is no way of it falling or anything slamming into the front of it.

I would say to not bring your plasma to college.

agreed

I mean even though it would be sweet to have one at college, i wouldnt bring it because with my experience at college, things get broken, bumped, damaged and stolen...

especially if alcohol is involved

1. DO NOT take you plasma to college, it will get damaged or broken.

2. You HAVE to stand a plasma upright for transportation, I used to work at BBY as a merchandiser (setting up plasma displays and stuff)

It is going to college with me and there is no other choice, i'm not going out and spending money I don't have to get another TV... My dorm has cameras in the hallways ever 4 doors and outside ever 4 windows, so theft is not really a problem... it will be on a stand on a desk against a wall... i have a spot to put it in my car standing upright, face against the back seat and back against a refridgerator (not a snug fit, a few inches inbetween, should be pretty solid though...)

Many people say don't brin git, but that really isn't an option becaus ei'm having a tv in my room and I'm not buying a new TV...

taking it to college isn't as big a deal as you guys are making it out to be as you can just get renters insurance (really cheap for the protection). This is the big company for college renters insurance

I recently bought a plan for $60 which covers $3000 and has a deductible of $50. A good deal.
