I was getting refs for the Logitech m50 portable ipod speakers but now that I think about it.....

It's probably a waste of money for that....

Since I can just use the damn laptop instead.

Advice ?

well really most places you think u would use them (party, friends house, etc) already have radios or stereos that usually dominate your little speakers anyways....so really they become useless unless you use them in your own room or something.

It's still pointless if you're going to use them in your room.. Just hook the iPod up to your computer and play..

I got a free set a couple months ago from IBM, for going to a SOA/Websphere Portal seminar at the Atlanta Aquarium. They're the exact same ones Radio Shack sells for $20. No dock connector, just a headphones plug, but for sitting on my desk here using it as low volume background music, they work great (especially for free).

Edit Here they are, except mine has [b9a72ff53d5]ibm.com/soa[/b9a72ff53d5] screenprinted on the front of it.
