I'm almost done with my fall shopping, but I still have a few items left on my list. I’d love to get some recommendations with these items.

[b61eb1ee9b3]#1 Sunglasses[/b61eb1ee9b3] (looking to spend less than $100)
[b61eb1ee9b3]
#2 Pocketknife/Pockettool[/b61eb1ee9b3] (Leatherman Wave, Gerber Legend Multi-Plier 800 Multitool)
I want something that isn’t too heavy & bulky but has screwdrivers, pliers, ruler, scissors and a good knife blade(s), locking mechanism. Some people say the Leatherman Wave is a bit heavy to carry around in their pockets. How do the products made by Victorinox/Wegner compare to the Leathermans?

[b61eb1ee9b3]#3 Tactical Knife[/b61eb1ee9b3] (No fixed blade, very easy to flip open w/ 1 hand, 3-4 inches)

[b61eb1ee9b3]#4 Flashlight[/b61eb1ee9b3] (Looking for the lights found in Outdoor/Hunting shops, something small, but also pretty powerful) Are Gerber lights any good?

[b61eb1ee9b3]#5 Small Lockbox/Safe[/b61eb1ee9b3] (For documents, cash, gadgets) How do you keep your expensive things safe in your dorm? Where can I find a cheap booksafe?
[b61eb1ee9b3]
#6 External Hard Drive[/b61eb1ee9b3] (Something mobile that can take some wear & tear, anything from 60-100 gigs is more than enough, just need to back up documents & pics)

[b61eb1ee9b3]#7 Laptop Lock[/b61eb1ee9b3] (Looking to spend around $30, what brands are good?)

[b61eb1ee9b3]#8 Laptop Sleeve[/b61eb1ee9b3] (For Inspiron e1405 14.1", to use as extra padding in backpack)

[b61eb1ee9b3]#9 Keyboard[/b61eb1ee9b3] (for the mobile user, can fit in backpack)

I'm saw a “deal” on the MX1000 mouse[=http//www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002UM0JW/ref=pd_cp_e_title/002-1139465-5006461?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=172282]MX1000 mouse ($43.27 Shipped on Amazon after rebate).
Is that a great price, or does Logitech have even better deals? And does it feel much better than the “notebook” nice that are out there?

Flashlight I think any L.E.D. light would work? The bright ones that go around $5-$10?

Lockbox/Safe You'd better bolt that safe to the ground. Having a moveable lockbox would be pointless.

External Hard Drive You're better off buying an enclosure and a hard drive (wait for them to go on sale), or, hell, use that old hard drive sitting in your garage.

That's all I can think off. Hope it helps.

I don't want to screw up my eyes and I'm going to invest in something that has quality (None of the cheap ones will protect you). I plan on having it for a long time.

There was a HUGE sale on Amazon on designer sunglasses. The brands that were on sale were Gucci, LV, and Prada. I saw the deal on FatWallet. Don't know if those brands row your boat, but they are worth mentioning.

The prices didn't go higher than $60 shipped.

If you're wanting to spend a little on the flashlight, look at Surefire flashlights. You prolly won't find anything brighter, and definately not more durable (they come with a lifetime warrenty). Their lower end stuff is around $40-$60. I have the 6P, it fits in the palm of my hand, and is brighter and has a more consistant beam then the huge 6 D-cell Maglite I have.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Are these lights geared towards police & military personnel? What version of the 6P do you have?

Also, how does the battery work...is it chargable & how long does it last?

I know alot of cops and military personal use them, but you don't have to be law enforcement or anything to buy them.

I have the original 6P in gun metal grey.

It uses special Surefire batteries, two will last about an hour before they start to dim. They go out at about an hour and a half. The batteries I believe are around $1.50 each. So if you're going to be using it alot, it might not be real econimical. When I leave for college I'm just going to leave mine in the glovebox for emergencies. They also have a $90 rechargeable kit, and I think they sell a replacement lamp that isn't as bright but last longer than an hour.

They have some pretty interesting stories on their website about people using Surefire's. http//www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/pgrfnbr/210/sesent/00[]http//www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/pgrfnbr/210/sesent/00
