Kazaa MADE me update their software and since then i keep getting these different popups (all titled "The Best Offers" though) every 2 minutes. I use firefox, but i gather they are still from ie.
What is the best popupblocker? I know people ask this all the time, but isnt there a way to just block them from ie?
Thanks

The best offers is a nasty piece of spyware. Spysweeper does catch it though. Get spysweeper... Obtain it however you like and it'll clean it

Is spysweeper free? And is there any other way? I left to go to the bathroom and when i came back 10 more BEST OFFERS were waiting for me.
Also, this thing keeps popping up
"Internet Sharing Configuration
_____.exe is attempting to change or view... yadda"
I dont click yes (obviously) but i dotn click no either. I click the x.
WTF is that?

Hey, sorry to pull this out again, but i thought it might pertain to my current problem
Everytime i use my computer i notice that i approx. 20-30 MBs are gone. It is not internet history bc i clear that out. My pop up are from IE (i use FF) so i clear out IE too. I havent downloaded anything. Only thing firefox keeps showing real player updates everyday (but that cannot be that large).
My question is how can i check the "incoming activity" on my comp? Obvciously some garbage software is automatically installing. I have noticed stragne folders in my Program files (such as RxToolBar) and when i try to delete them, it says "Cannot delete Semantic_Insight.exe Access is denied"
WTF????

Ad-aware Personal Edition - that should get rid of it, that's what I've always used. And to block future instrusions I also get SpyWare Blaster on top of that and it cleans and blocks everything; mostly.

Stop using Kazaa and use BitTorrent.
who the hell still use kazaa....apparently u do, lol.
kazaa is so 5 years ago.
Limewire is the best for downloading individual songs. Bittorrent for everything else.

Newgroups are pretty sweet, but unless your ISP hooks you up, you have to pay for them... (

Oh ok, yeah I've used them before but really didn't like it.
It's pretty much all the same, but their user-end was kinda cheap and lame so I switched. Just didn't give the impression of being secure. shrug

So you guys pay for your usenet server/hosting whatever. How is that different service than if your ISP supported it for free? Is it faster/secure, i dont get the difference?

can you send me an nzb file to test out my speeds. I just want to see how fast it will be. So I just take the nzb file and open it with a news reader program, right? +karma for anyone that can help me

lol, sorry for the thread-hijacking. Did you try any of the suggestions everyone else gave you? Its probably adware/spyware. Use Adware Personal SE, Spybot and you can even try Spydoctor. Also, get some antivirus and spyware real time protection for the future.
