That is cool. I had no idea they had color photos back in that time. I knew they did in WWII but I definitely didn't know they had color back during WWI. Very interesting.

I think you may be thinking of WW2. In WW1 they were still using bi-planes and had no color film. Unless it was a colorized version done by Ted Turner. )

They [b1c996d09c5]didn't[/b1c996d09c5] have color film back then, that's what makes this so unusual. If you read the article, he took multiple B&W shots using colored filters on each, in a camera of his own design, then projected them together to somehow work out the colors. Given what he had to work with in 1909, it's quite amazing what he accomplished.
