This was taken from Shoutwire, but I thought it was a great find.

A Man who lived in WWI era in Russia developed a method of producing full color pictures at the time, rather than black and white. I just thought this was cool because the only way I've ever seen life in these times was in black and white, and in movies of course. Anyway, here's the link. this is old stuff
there are even VIDEOS in color of WWI planes flying and shooting. the camera is even mounted on the plane D

That is cool. I had no idea they had color photos back in that time. I knew they did in WWII but I definitely didn't know they had color back during WWI. Very interesting.

I think you may be thinking of WW2. In WW1 they were still using bi-planes and had no color film. Unless it was a colorized version done by Ted Turner. )

They [b1c996d09c5]didn't[/b1c996d09c5] have color film back then, that's what makes this so unusual. If you read the article, he took multiple B&W shots using colored filters on each, in a camera of his own design, then projected them together to somehow work out the colors. Given what he had to work with in 1909, it's quite amazing what he accomplished.
