How do you get a screen cap of a video?

Does anyone know how to do this? All I know is that if you open a video in windows media, pause it, and hit print screen, it wont work. I've done the same thing in Quicktime and it worked, but the quality wasnt as good, it was pixelated.

in Windows Media player you need to turn off hardware acceleration.

Tools -> Options. Performance tab, set acceleration to none and restart the video. You can now use print screen.

You can also open basically any file with VLC Player (www.videolan.org). Open a file then click on Video -> take snapshot. The pic is saved in My Pictures.

Remember to turn acceleration back on when you are done, or you might run into playback issues.
