Hey guys. Finally saved enough money and think i've decided on this t.v.

Now "Squaretrade" offers a 3-year protection plan on this T.V. for $199.00
Anyone have any experience with such a warranty plan? Just trying to decide whether to purchase it or not.

These are the "benefits." To me it looks like an extra 2-years on parts and labor then a bunch of BS added on like 24 hour support and all that... Any suggestions??

It's almost the same price as Target, if you wait a bit you might be able to get a 10% off coupon as well.

I would get a service plan if you can on a large purchase like this, it will cost more than fix it than the plan would cost so it's reasonable.

I've seen this set go for as low as $999 free shipping. I would not buy it on ebay. Thing with Target is, you'll probably have to pay tax if they have stores in your state.

But yeah, I would buy additional warranty. You can buy them online after you purchase the set somewhere else, as long as the set is sitll under warranty. 3 yr plans are about $150.

This is true about the tax thing, I saw it as cheap as $999 somewhere too, but I can't remember. I was looking at that one first before I bought my 42" Sony LCD.

I work at Target! If you apply for a Target Credit Card you can save 10% on an online purchase and any purchase in the store. That would be like 120 bucks. Also, if you have the money you can immediately pay off the card and not have to worry about it.

Just sayin'....
