I want to ship an item in an envelope to someone and get paid via paypal. What extra services should I purchase in case the other person files a paypal complaint or chargeback? Like certified mail or what form of information would paypal accept?

if you're really worried just get delivery confirmation and you get a tracking number

delivery confirmation doesnt give you a tracking number it give you a delivery confirmation # and it does just as the name says, confirms delivery ive had problems with it with ppl and disputes.

if i were youi would just ship via usps express with the flat rate envelope, its costs 14.95 but it comes with free $100 insurance, and tracking if you purchase your postage online through usps.com i dont thinkg yoiu get the free tracking if you purchase in a post office but you still get the insurance and it is delivered next day if you get it to the PO by 3pm.

You shipped Priority Mail, mr_black was talking about Express Mail, which is their overnight service.

If you're really paranoid, just mail it certified. Not sure if you can send Priority + Certified or not. I just ship such things Priority + Signature Confirmation, which requires signature of recipient. Despite its name, Delivery Confirmation only gets you proof the item reached the destination delivery point (i.e. post office and/or mail carrier's bag) it doesn't confirm delivery to the recipient address like Signature Confirmation does.

If you pay and print your shipping label online, Priority + Signature Confirmation will cost like $5.85 or thereabouts.

You could also add a Return Receipt if you were particularly worried. But I think for PayPal's purposes, a Signature Confirmation receipt (which includes the DC tracking number) would suffice.
