Well over past few weeks Ive noticed a decent amount of posts about the DC So figured why not make a thread and try to keep it all in one place. Just got myself a DC and looking for a recomendation on some games to pick up, only game i remember playing is shenmue, by far the best game ive ever played, also whats the dc scene line now adays, any sites still up?

I was just looking around at old dreamcast games today. What a great system. Resident Evil Code Veronica was great! Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, Power Stone, Sonic, classic!

I have a broken DC that I am currently refurbing. Once I have it running ill sell it for really cheap. My only reason for refurbing is cuz I wanted the experience of working on it.

Last week I got the idea to make a case mod of a computer using a dreamcast while somehow keeping the top load cd system. I have no idea how this would work considering all computer cd drives are trays but I'm gonna go for it when I have the cash

Soul Calibur, Shenmue (I still havn't played Shenmue II), and of course VIRTUA TENNIS! My friends and I had so much fun with these games in high school...

Shenmue 2 Is also incredbile for the box, I just remember playing shenmue non stop till i beat it, maybe for 5 days straight just playsed shenmue and thats , I was also like 12 so didnt have much to do anyway

I remember my mom getting really mad cause I would play shenmue for 8 hours straight and refuse to get off the tv.

I got Shenmue for Christmas a year after the DC was out, along with the official strategy guide. My sister and I played it for days and days on end! At the time, it was amazing. I remember going back to Sakuragaoka and to Ryo's house and looking at the detail of the fish in the fountain at his house, and how you could interact with everything (despite the lousy voiceovers!).

marvel v capcom 2...oh such a great game on dreamcast. i with they would make a marvel v capcom 3 for 360...fighting on live with storm + sentinel + cable on my hd tv would rock so hard

Yes, that was a cool Sonic game. I spent hours raising those little Chaos and racing them, ha ha.

I wish their VMUs had more battery life. It was dissapointing raising a chao on it, only to have the battery die within a couple hours.

is anyone's dc extremly loud, got mine today off ebay, terrible shape, dirty as hell controller is stained with blue marks and game didnt work, was real loud when it was trying to load that, just bought ecw hardcore revolution and it did start but was still extremly to start off, is this common?

the gd rom laser movement can be really loud depending on the manufacturing date, I swapped out my noisy ass drive with a quieter one.
