Windows Media Connect! Does the software still suck?

There was some software I used Windows Media Connect that i installed on my computer in order to stream music and video to my Xbox 360.

Now I do remember that it was horrible and ate up so much memory and cpu cycles even when i wasnt streaming.

Now does anyone have experience with this software as of lately and if its still buggy?

I just know that when i used my original xbmc to stream music, I never had problems and the cpu load on my computer was almost nothing

Yeah I don't know how the fuck they bloated the software so much. All it has to do is stream the file and have the xbox play it (like xbmc) but they probably implemented a lot of BS in it to make it harder to emulate or crack.

Well its not even that. I mean when my 360 is off the software still eats up crazy resources and when i kill the program it automatically starts back up which is a pain.
