So I need a graphics card to play World of Warcraft. According to crucial, I have two AGP compatible video card upgrades for my computer Radeon X1300 256MB AGP and X1600 PRO 512MB AGP. I am not sure which one to pick. Does the x1600 make a drastic difference in WoW, or will a x1300 be decent?

First problem. You're addicted to WoW. A 256MB is plenty for WoW. I have a 256MB GeForce Go 6800 (laptop) 2 GHz and 1GB RAM and WoW ran just dandy.

I haven't even started to play WoW. When I read the recommened requirements, my computer did not fit them so I was hoping to upgrade before I bought the game.

The game doesn't require that much computer power but if you're the more serious gamers, I guess you could upgrade. No matter what, in the high population areas you're gonna get graphics lag, even you have an amazing computer and internet connection.

Well, my current computer has 256 computer RAM and a GeForce 4 grfx card so I am pretty sure I will need to upgrade xd.

So WoW would run smoothly with at least 1GB Ram and a 256mb video card?

Wow can run fine on 512 mb ram, 1 gig would be a nice benefit. Also I Can run wow on my geforce 4 cards. Maybe not that well, but playable [on my older machines]. IF you want to splurge and make WoW look really like, get a 6800gt or a 6600gt. Both cards are very cheap now. or ATI equivelent. Whichever. AGP has its limitations, so the best card for AGP is a X850XT PE ATI, which you can probably find on good deal on if you check slickdeals/fat wallet. [150$ ish]. D
Also keep in mind, The "megabytes" on a graphics card mean very little. I could get an old ATI 9250 256 mb card, And it would be 10x out peformed by a 128 mb 6600gt. Its about the pixel pipelines and clock speeds.

I have used the x1300 (pci-3 however) to play WoW. It can run it perfectly with all of the setting maxed out. You won't have a problem.
