ok i need help i'm buying a new laptop and a PC down the road. Well i'm confused after about 3 Ghz i got lost in the whole CPU thing. For example an AMD 3000+ wtf is it 3 Ghz or not and the whole laptop Cpu and duo core is confusing is there a chart or something that compares CPU's.

i didnt really get your first post, but if you have the laptop/computer, it should say the ghz when you right click my computr and go to properties

i also have a 2.0 ghz a64 3000+, its 2.0 ghz but compareable to a intel 2.8

well my AMD 2500+ has a freq of a 1.83.. But my 1.83 will run the same as a intel 2500

AMD Turion™ 64 mobile technology ML-37li for AMD64 is not a duo core is it. And also i understand the concept of dual core of passing the workload to the other cpu but like just normal browsing dose it use both cpu's or dose it work like a single core when it is just browsing.
