Depends on which company charges you

kdollar

25-07-2006 14:38:19

it does? i mean even if you have like 2 dollars left on the card?

I would assume it's possible but they can only get the money from you if there's a backup funding source attached to it.

Other than that, if it goes into the negatives, I think the only other way to get the money from you if you don't have it or can't pay it would be to send collection notices or a collection agency to try to recoup what you owe them.

It should just not let you charge but it can go neg. and you do owe the difference. They can send collection agencies but for a few bucks I don't see them caring...

The card will/should deny the charge.

I guess I've just been lucky...though...it [i7cd7e5efc4]is[/i7cd7e5efc4] a gift card, and therefore any overages really shouldn't be your responsibility (it's a DEBIT card not a CREDIT card). I haven't read the card agreement though, and really don't plan to...

what offers did you have to pay gigante?

freedesktoppc

26-07-2006 12:06:52

nice to see mods frauding offers...or maybe just forgetting to change to a real credit card.

Yea...because the knowledge we have shared could OBVIOUSLY only be had through fraudulent activity. Obviously.

Not that I need to explain myself to you, but the reason I said it will/should deny overages, is because I tried to complete an offer (before realizing I had insufficient funds) and the charge was denied. Keep on making baseless accusations of equally baseless assumptions, though, it'll get you far in life.

everyone has the right to pay for offers anyway we want. But hey its nice for you to give them you card and risk getting charged even if you do cancle sorry but id like to protect myself from that.

Well just realize these are not "offers" as you see them, these are trials or products you are buying, and your question shows a lack of interest or intent to keep them, so you are essentially frauding everyone involved.

michae229

26-07-2006 15:18:13

well its not like they are send the trials to me free well most of them i pay for the shipping and im sending them back to send to someone else so i dont belive ts fraud as i say again i have the right to pay for trials anyway i like if you dont like it then shut down all the banks that give giftcards

freedesktoppc

26-07-2006 16:20:02

No, because you only pay for the shipping($5-6), and they payout anything from $15-30, so they are losing money. Also, somehow I don't think a pill company for example can take pills that were in your possesion, and then send them to someone else.

michae229

26-07-2006 16:45:25

i think they would take it back.if sealed and i bet most of the people use giftcards why are they being sold on here? Just to buy me a pesent dont sit there and say that the people that use em here is a small number people. people here are trying to protect their credit

use punctuation, and then your points may be understood.

michae229

26-07-2006 18:36:33

stop getting on my grammer and admit ive made good points

freedesktoppc

26-07-2006 18:56:41

I don't know what your points are because your statement was not coherent.

edit I just see that you added them. Where are giftcards sold here? The most legitimate excuse I have heard used for using a GC is that it prevents overcharging, etc. But the one problem with that argument is that you should theoretically be entering the trial assuming you are gonna use it, not cancel it. Also, a real credit card gives you a lot more recourse if you decide you don't want it, and they continue to charge it.

I guess this is what separates the casual freebiers from the professionals. I find it hard to believe that anyone who has done more than a few sites can find an offer that they have not done before that there is a chance they would probably keep it.
