Anyone here have first hand experience on motorcycles or suggestions on what to get for my first real motorcycle? I want a liCrotch-Rocketli, and I think 600CC or lesss (so I don't kill myself...) Any suggestions from you guys?

Also, any good sites to search for bikes, i've been trying to find one, want one from kansas if possible, and don't want to spend over $3000, so of coarse I want used...

Anyone have some tips on what to buy?

that much power, something bad will happen... I want to keep it small, less than 600CC, and I doubt i'm finding one of those for less than 3K...

And really, I don't plan to try to see how long I can ride a wheelie, or anything like that, i'm not going to see how fast I can get up to 120 or anything like that, I probably won't ever take it over 100... I want it to drive around town to save gas mileage...

I think of
DMorris Here= Locke from Lost
Oldest person on the forum with great knowledge (Locke may not be quite the oldest, but one of the oldest, and I guess DMorris isn't the oldest cause that one dude is 99 shrug)

And I don't want a scooter because I couldn't go cruise w/ my roomate, and I have to drive this thing 120 miles on interstate to get to college... Imagine me riding on my moped next to my friends GSX-R600... i'd look like a complete jackass... I may just go for a Ninja 250 or something along that line, just because It will keep me out of trouble, or keep me in less trouble...

My guess that dmorris has been alive for decades, he's actually not human. ;)

I don't think I'm the oldest person here. Maybe 2nd oldest though. )

I don't know a whole lot about motorcycles actually. I rode a lot when I was young, but never had much interest in them as an adult. I do have a lot of friends who ride, and I know enough to know that a Hayabusa is a muscle bike and not for a beginning rider.

Other than that... lots of various life experiences. And I'm a sponge for knowledge, I read constantly, love to learn. I've forgotten far more than I've remembered. I'm OCD when it comes to details, and study anything to death that even remotely interests me. Thus making me a fountain of useless knowledge. ;)
