Those that sold your 42" Plasma

How much did yours sell for? I have an offer on mine and wondering whether I should accept it.

I have a TH-42PWD8UK that CSC paid almost $1800 for, and am being offered quite a bit less than that...but the online price of this thing is around $1350 these days. I'm really annoyed that I got an EDTV, without tuner, when I signed up for a site promising an HDTV with tuner(s).

On ebay I saw a couple BIN that went for about $1300-$1500.

Yeah, but it seems the majority went unsold - and then I have to ship this thing, and eat the paypal and ebay fees which would be around ~$90 or so. I'm trying to rationalize accepting way less than this thing is worth just to get it out of my house (so I don't open it and install it)...

I've been offered just about the lowest online sale price, from a reputable online seller; I guess it's going to be tough to justify asking for more than that...

if i were you id keep the thing.... i mean your not gonna be able to sell it for what its worth (not to mention the aggravation....) ?

heh, I want the TV, but $1300 would serve me better than a sexy, mf-ing tv...

Yeah, I know your position. I'm in the same boat. I'm actually debating on whether I want to sell it, or sell it and put it towards a 60" one...

I could use the money, but that giant TV is so tempting. ;)

Actually I was going to say the exact same thing. I've heard people selling similar big items had much more success there.

That's where I have it listed now, and from where I received the offer.

Sell it and buy a 32" samsung LCD with 30001 contrast ratio. I'm getting one online brand new for $1050 shipped.

I sold one of mine for $1k to my neighbor. Keep in mind there was no shipping or anything I had to pay.

I decided to keep mine...it's just not worth the hassle/cost of getting rid of it. It's a nice TV...check the reviews. The problem is that the technology/size war is moving so fast, that today's hot new innovation is tomorrow's clearance item.

We kept our first one.... BUT OUR SECOND ONE IS DUE TO ARRIVE TOMORROW! D D D So I am now avidly interested in this conversation. We're offering it to friends and family first to see if we can sell it that way before we go ebay/craigslist.

Oh heck no, if they just decided to drop a plasma tv off on my front porch, they would be /hearing/ from me. Especially since I learned that the local branch of the Pitt-Ohio delivery company is literally just down the street from me. They called today because no one was home yesterday when they tried to deliver. So we set up an appt.

Mine sold for $1400 to a friend of a friend. The best offer I got from craigslist was $1320, fwiw.

I finally got mine wall mounted after the 2 failed attempts at selling it on ebay. Looks really good with black speakers sitting on top and a brick wall/black background.
