It really is amazing. I don't want the Mac part though. I wonder of the Dell 30" is as nice ?

the dell and apple 30" monitors are the same screen. the only difference is the outer area per brand.
Go with the Dell.. Apple displays are nothing more than an overpriced 30" LCD monitor that's made to look expensive.
It's like a Lexus and a Toyota... It uses the same chassis and everything else is the same.. You're only paying for the fancier looking body and the Lexus symbol.

Dell 30" is still over $2K plus you need a video card that has dual-link DVI. I'm really deciding between a 24" widescreen or dual 19"...
Well if you're deciding between a 24" or two 19", I would go with the two 19".. More bang for your buck.

Personally I'd go with a 24" over dual 19's. You can always add a 20" or another 24" later to have an uber-dual-setup, and maintain the same vertical resolution (I won't go below 1200 vertical, hence 19's don't work for me). When I get my 2407FPW, it will dual up with my current 2001FP.
And I agree the Apple stuff is way overpriced -- if you go 30" go with Dell.
