Ok so someone tells my mom about Xango and gives her a bottle as well as 2 promotional dvds. My sister was curious about Xango as well and actually thought it might be legit. She tells me about it and i instantly tell her its a scam (and not a very clever one at that) She insists that we at least watch the promotional dvds first. (The promotional dvds were VERY VERY nicely packaged btw, i'll post pics of the packaging later)
So we pop the dvd in and we see some executives of the company
saying things like "we have a vision" and "the world is better because people who refuse to believe they cant fly are in it"
the usual empty corporate inspirational nonsense.

what was even better was that they kept saying Xango had numerous health benefits but gave no specifics on what those benefits are.
I turn and tell my sister "i told ya it was a scam" she says they probably put that info on the 2nd dvd. We watch the 2nd DVD and see some guy rapping about the effects of xango. I never knew health drinks were such a gangster thing shock at the end of the dvd it says a dvd with information about the drinks is avaliable but must be purchased. roll

We both googled info on Xango and found out (ligasp) its actually an MLM scam. What gets me is that she doesnt like buying stuff online and she refuses to have anything to do with free sites but she would actually consider a 37 dollar bottle of juice as worthwhile. (by the way we watched the dvd on the LG 42 inch plasma edtv that i got for less than the price of Xango scamo)

So my question is this. look at this site and tell me if you or anyone you know at first glance would even THINK there was a possibility of this garbage being legit roll

also. The fact that a 25oz bottle costs over $30 should be a dead giveaway ?

We have Xango. All I know is that it tastes really good.

liEDITli

I asked my mom about it and she said that we're on some kind of multilevel thing where we spend $120 on it a month and get like 4 bottles of it a month and then we get $500 back every month from them.

I don't really understand how the program works but it's pretty cool because the drink tastes really good and we make about $400 profit off of it every month. P

my mom also does this too...the reason why they cant tell you all the health benefits it gives you is because its against the law...FDA....you cant tell some one it will cure cance etc, it affect people differently.
mlm scam doesnt nessarially mean SCAM, its a pramide scam in that everyone on the pramide(spelling i know) profits....so its a win win situation, the more people you get to sign up under you, the more you profit....very similar to the freebie world ie. get referrals= your reward...scam??? parts of the freebie world is mlm scam, but eitherway you still profit....yeah yeah i rambled....hope it makes some sense

They probably don't re-sell it. Most of these schemes require you to a) sign up for an autoship program and b) pitch friends, family, and others on signing up for the same autoship program. You get "residual" income based on how many people you get to join the program under you.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's B. My dad got some of his employees to join under him and now we make about $400 profit from it a month.

It's not really a scam, it's just overpriced crap that you don't need. It tastes good though.

Yeah I don't think it does have a lot of health benefits. My parents also did this type of thing with a drink called KM and and one point they made $25,000 a month off of it but then the company was undergoing some changes and a lot of our "referrals" dropped out and we made a lot less. We still get some income off of it and we get a lifetime supply of KM which is a lot better for you than Xango.

ugh I almost read that entire thing until I realized that it's basically a ton of guys thinking that the guy who posted that it was a scam has no effin idea about what he's talking about and that mangosteen(the fruit) is actually really good for you(according to some TIME article that some guy posted). It's sorta like how people pay crazzzyyyyyy prices for bottled water.

http//www.researchmangosteen.com/[]http//www.researchmangosteen.com/

bascially Xango's marketing is goood, really good. which makes people think it's a scam because it advertises that it essentially cures everything. So it is sorta scammy. THe whole MLM thing (from what I read in the xango forum) is sorta scammy in a not really kind of way. It's the freebie referral pyramid except more businessssss like and that it's a win-win for top and bottom but more win for top. confusing, isn't it

They don't get that income off of KM anymore but they did when I was little. My parents have a lot of money but I don't get any of it. x

Believe it or not my parents were on the cover of some magazine for getting so much income off of it.

Here's the KM product -

http//www.matoldistributor.bizland.com/kmliquid.chtml

I took a bath full of it when I was a baby and had chicken pox because it's good for your skin or something and we had so much of it. It tastes disgusting btw.
