Sitting here bored waiting for approval on a site, I decided to bring something up that I feel strongly about. I've only recently found out the horrors that this sham of a "religion" has committed. Think that they are a harmless group? Think again.

YTMND Explaining the Unfunny Truth

http//theunfunnytruth.ytmnd.com/

There are countless other sites out there dedicated to informing the masses about this crock, but as soon as they get popular enough, scientology uses their lawyers and scare tactics on the ISP's to bring down the sites and link them to their headquarters site.

From Wikipedia

Hubbard is reputed to have told [John W.] Campbell, "I'm going to invent a religion that's going to make me a fortune. I'm tired of writing for a penny a word."

I imagine that it is stretched abit to get a point across, but all of the cases are actual real events.

whoa, for some reason that freaked the shit outta me.......

those pictures put the creepy feeling into me..... like when you're a kid and say Bloody Mary in the mirror and you're all scared.

I had my back to a window and got shivers after seeing that first pic of her. I had to look over my shoulder and check.

eeek eeek.

But it is 4 in the morning and i am sleep deprived.

If you're a digger, you've seen lot about scientology lately. It's really scary. There was a site that was linked to on digg and soon it had been shut down. There was another site that had a whole lot of anti scientology stuff, and now it links to the scientology website. They say that can stop anyone who talks about them because of copyright laws. You have to pay to see their books and so you can't post any of it online.

Someone tried to convert me to Scientology once. He gave me some book about managing stress from a scientologist's viewpoint and how psychology is a fraud. I immediately threw the book away.

yeah..... i saw it early, early this morning and it was rough.

I saw a shirt at school today said, "What is scientology? No seriously..."
I swear to god it said that!!

I am guilty of not knowing too much about it, but this post and that site pushed me to educate myself more.

freaky stuff.

Be sure to tell everyone you know that if they see a table set up offering "STRESS TESTS" that they are these wackos. I see too many people walk up to those and not find out who they were until info had changed hands.

At least the Jehovah's Witnesses shove a copy of Watchtower in your face so you know. Even the Jews For Jesus wear something saying who they are. (Hate them anyway)

I just wish I knew how these people are allowed in subway stations. How can permits be granted for these people?

chillywilly

17-07-2006 09:02:32

As long as you are not actually conducting business on the street, anyone can do whatever they want, within various legal limits, on the street in publica places.

You are right about the Jehovah's Witness' and their Watchtower. The mormons are pretty tame as well, backing off when someone is not interested.

This ytmnd is honestly true, and the images used are from a book that L. Ron Hubbard used his lawyers to get removed from the interent, but the owner of ytmnd fought their bullshit lawyers threatrening to sue if he didn't remove this ytmnd+others and has since not contacted by any lawyers or lord xenu. Scientologies pretty dumb. This really puts it in perspective.

I know. That's not what I was talking about.

They are [b7f574f2060]IN[/b7f574f2060] the subway. I mean on platforms and other areas [i7f574f2060]within[/i7f574f2060] the subway system. Once you pay your fare, and enter, you're no longer in a public place. I can't imagine them being there without being arrested, unless they have some kind of permit. I mean they have chairs and tables set up blocking the flow of passengers from one staircase to another.

What I don't get is how and why the city would allow it. ?

They also allow the Jews For Jesus, Mormons and Jehova's Witnesses to do the same. (Usually no tables though, just handing out pamphlets)

Sorry.. thanks for the clarification.

So very much like the hare krishnas that hang out in airports (which I've not seen in at least 10 years now).

I wouldn't think they would be allowed in the subways, especially since they normally try to keep panhandlers cleared from the platforms and other subway areas.

All it takes is a few bucks towards the subway company and they'd be golden to do whatever they want.

As for Hare Krishnas, I know they used to hang out in public areas, but I have to agree, I haven't seen one in ages.

Wow. I didn't see the emmy noms. That's awesome. I hope it wins, too. And they get the animated Tom Cruise from that episode to accept the award.

Now that would be great TV.
