no my parents got it for $50... CS was $100 so i just setteled for the cheaper one.. The differences between CS and 7 are so suttle you wouldn't even know haha..

If you learned on 7, moving to CS makes no sense. Additionally, the functionality vs price difference makes CS a poor choice. I use 7, and could probably dominate most people who use CS using 5.5

i actually learned on CS but my college prof told me that the only differences between CS and 7 was something with the web stuff... and then like menu changes and whatnot but everything is basically still the same...

well, i have CS, 7, 6, and elements. and there are differences in CS, so in my opinion it is worth moving to, the way the brush hardness and the filter menu is refined. alot of small things that are a pain to learn, but make the program that much easier to use. i remember working on element years back and the difference between that and CS are astonomical. i figure the best way is to keep updating (downloaing) licoughli the latest one, so the changes from versions wont be as harsh, but its cool you got 7. good luck with your photoshopping adventures -). if you have any questions about it, ask. i'd probably know.

you mean people actually pay for photoshop D

i wouldnt even bother w/ 7 anymore at this point- shooting digitally... i need the built in RAW converter of cs, and the healing brush and shadow/highly tool are worth their weight in gold
