I got an internship this summer doing software engineering and such. At times when I'm not busy I help out the networking guys. The networking guys at this company mostly don't have degrees and aren't the most computer educated people aside from OTJ knowledge.

They work through a local guy for hard drives, cd-roms, barebones, etc. It's also a steel plant so we go through a shit load of PC parts and need to buy them in wholesale. I know for a fact they are getting ripped off and would like to know if anyone know's a good place to buy PC parts in wholesale. Please only suggest a reputable place. I'm not buying off ebay or anything like that. Keep in mind it's a PO that would need to go through our CFO and I don't want to be putting ebay on a PO.

Any help would be appreciated.

CDW is the industry standard. Um for cabling, http//cablestogo.com/ is fantastic.

From what I saw, those CDW prices are horrible.

The prices aren't good but the CS is top of the line. When you are in a company you are happy if you know where all of your stuff comes from...

True, but I could get the same things from newegg for $20 cheaper. Thanks for the other link though.

Tigerdirect is very reputable and they have special pricing for buisnesses.

And before someone jumps on Tiger Direct; TigerDirect's service is fine and their prices are decent. TD rebates are bottom of the barrel, garbage...

I would recommend Monoprice.com for cabling and connectors/adapters. When I used to build PCs as a business, or for my old business, I bought 90% of my parts from Newegg.

These days, I would buy Dells with their 4 year Complete Care warranty and beat the hell out of them. Dell's warranty almost certainly loses them money. Several times in grad school, I saw or heard of people spilling bottles of water on their laptop, and Dell sent someone out the next day to replace the laptop, or parts as appropriate (for free). That is to say, your own negligence or workplace conditions don't void the Complete Care warranty, in my experience.

Yeah, I was showing them newegg, but newegg doesn't seem to want to budge for anything wholesale.

They told me that they bought about 200 moniters off newegg the one time and newegg refused to give them any kind of discount.
