could you click on where it says CLICK HERE and then post the SS? It might help narrow down the problem.

lol good ol descriptive windows errors.

OK based on googling its either
1)some codec or media player installed recently
2)your firewall is blocking itunes
3)some windows udpates are causing this for people.

So I guess I would troubleshoot in that order. Uninstall any recently installed codec packs or media players. Try disabling your firewall (if software) and starting iTunes. Lastly, a guy seems to think hes narrowed it down to two windows updates; KB908531 and KB904942.

Open add/remove programs and click the show updates box. Uninstall those two updates if there and reboot the system.

Also, some people have had luck by installing the latest version of quicktime on its own http//www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

It def. might be the codec I installed.(ACE Mega CoDecS Pack)
will uninstall it and see if it works.

yep its the codec. Uninstalled the codec, reinstalled itunes and it works.
now if I try installing some other codec pack, will it ruin itunes again?
can any1 recommend the best codec pack??

thanks bro for the help. ++karma. D

Glad you got it working D

I dont use codec packs other than divx and xvid. I use VLC Player[=http//www.videolan.org/]VLC Player to play media. It has basically every codec built in except realplayer, it even has a DVD decoder (not a great one though). See if it will work for you.

k, I got both Divx player and VLC player. If these work on videos that require a certain codec, then I don't need any codec packs.

Your hard drive could be corrupting itself. I've had that happen to me a few times. Where an application would work, and then a few days later, it would stop working, and no matter what you did, it wouldn't work. And then more and more programs stopped working.

Or it could just be iTunes. iTunes is horrible. lievil grinli

If you see any other of your programs not running like they should be, or weird errors, I think it's time for a full format. D
