Anyone have experience if these work or not? I hate hangovers, and would love to reduce them if they work...

So, any one have first hand experience?

I have had first hand experience and they do not work for me, friends of mine say that they have, but a good cure for me is some excedrin migrane Extra strength. That shit works like a charm, does it in about an hour or less.

EDIT[/size2f41515cdc] Or you could just become such an alcoholic that you don't get hangovers.

lol people will do what people will do. If someone wants to throw their lives away on drugs/alcohol nothing anyone says will stop them.
as long as hes responsible enough to make sure no one else is hurt by his stupidity i see no problem...

i doubt that stuff works. Some tips that have worked for me Don't drink either b. beers or cheap hard liqour in excess. Also, drinking alot of water during the night/before i go to bed.

No one said he was an alcoholic, I am sure at 19 he drinks on the weekends and sometimes he can get pretty hammered. Drinking on the weekends is not being an alcoholic but CAN lead to it

Just down water the night before it works for me usually.

I am not an alcoholic, I drink maybe 1 time a week tops, and I don't drink to get drunk, I usually drink just enough to get a good buz,z, but every onc ein a while i over do it... that is why I was wondering about chaser... I also never drive drunk or do things that could put other people's lives in danger...

That and Alka-seltzer Morning Relief. But don't make a habit of either; the acetaminophen in both can be hell on your liver in combination with the booze.

I heard chocolate milk with a lotta sugar in it works well because alcolhol drops your sugar level and causes the hangover. At least that's what I've heard. Try it out.

Mainly a hangover is just you being dehydrated. Drink 2 glasses of water before you pass out, and take an aspirin in the morning.

all i know is "the forced metabolism of sugar AND alcohol by your body will accelerate the depletion of B vitamins and make the hangover worse." which is why you shouldn't drink 12 mikes then hit the sack.

i definitly like chocolate milk for a hangover though, it cures nausea a little and tastes great

hmm, sugar? not sure how that would help. sugar would compete for the metabolism of alcohol -> could lead to more toxic metabolites -> more hangover.
best ways to help/avoid hangovers
1. dont drink
2. drink lots of water before you go to bed
3. coffee actually has been shown to help
4. DO NOT take tylenol EVER while drinking. booze + tylenol taken by a drunk => bad liver

I drink a lot of water and try to drink some Gatorade, the electrolytes and stuff seems to help. That, and some Advil or Tylenol.

LOL! As a drunken joke between me and my friends, when someone is EXTREMELY drunk, we make them drink a bottle of powerade/gatorade and tell them that it is time to "Get their electrolytes a kickin'"

just drink hard liquor and an energy drink, the combo of a stimulant and a depressant will FUCK you up!

yea, i've always been afraid to take pills because I know they can mess up your body, so I drink water before bed, but even drinking a liter of water before bed doesn't always help... some of these tips might be useful in the future, I thought coffee was bad, because all it does is speeds up your blood, but maybe it's good for hangover releif just not sobering up...

Well, if you don't drink too much you won't get a hangover! Thats the best solution I think! )

Are you serious? Just pound a glass of water with 2 advil. done..you'll wake up fine, if you still feel like crap in the morning drink more water and take two more advil.

I read somewhere online that for 250 mL of liquor (hard stuff), it dispels 800-1000 mL of water from your body, so I guess keep that in mind too.

Caffeine seems to help a little bit for me.

A friend recently introduced me to a nice trick. Just take some vitamin b12 before you go out. I usually take 1 before a night of drinking, and 2 before a long heavy night of drinking and I wake up fine. They aren't like some anti-hangover pill either.

Of course 2-3 glasses of water before going to sleep does the trick also, but most of the time you aren't going to remember to do that.
