I would try powercycling it, disabling/reenabling your connection, trying from another machine
do ipconfig /all and make sure that is your gateway and that it isn't 1.1 or 1.10 or something
try ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew
Try temporarily disabling firewall
are you using DHCP? did you set the router's IP?
strange problem, if you still getting connectivity in your network and the internet.

Maybe try 192.168.0.1, that's what my router uses shrug

k. go to Start-->Run , and type "cmd" (w/o quotes) and press enter. from there type "ipconfig" and press enter. One of the things it prints will say "Default Gateway" and show an ip address. That one should be your routers IP. im pretty sure... kma?

thanks guys, but im positive its 192.168.10.1, and ive also tried the usual variations on it. nslookup, tracert, and ipconfig all show 192.168.10.1, resetting the router has yielded no results -\

Did you ever get to it?
Does you get the same thing when trying to browse to the router from different machines?
Did you actually reset the router with a little pin or did you just power cycle?

routers unfortunately do go bad quite often since they are usually really heavily used, even though you dont really realise it.

i never got to it -\ with power cycling and resetting, or remotely. im puzzled because it still works fine in terms of providing internet access

192.168.1.1 That's what mine uses. Unplug it for like 30minutes...odd but that worked when my cable modem acted up.

Did you try unplugging it, THEN hitting the router reset button? Then look at the default gateway and see if the number changed.

Make sure you follow the resetting procedures in the manual for your router [i2c0505028e]carefully[/i2c0505028e]. I tried resetting, etc. and I pulled the power cord out while it was resetting. Best way to make a paperweight (

Yea, pulling the power cord out DURING resetting wouldn't be good.

Try putting your computers network cabel into a different slot? Also make sure you diden't connect to some obscure wireless network in the area maybe? I'd also try running the network wizard again just to see if it helps. The problem is most likely a dead router though, I had this exact same thing happen to me, Weeks before it was getting very hot because it was providing internet and servie for my 7 computers >.> and an additinal wireless router acting as a switch ^^. Just bought a newer one and alls good.
