I just reformatted my HD, and now I cannot connect to the internet. I am using a Cable connection but there are no items in the "Network Connections" and I cannot add a new one. (I knew I should have done this sober)

What do you mean you can't add a new one?

When I try to add a connection it asks me

To either get online with MSN or select a list of ISPs

And neither of those will let me add a new connection

Since you see no connections listed, sounds like you need to install the driver for your network card.

Ok, so who's he manufacturer of your network card?

Find that and the model number, go to their website, look for the appropriate drivers, download them and install.

Yep, Search your manufactuerer's website for your model number and you'll find the links, TSJ already provided them for you though. But this post does add +1 to my total posts!
