xbox 360 dead after 6/6/06 update

If you haven't heard a lot of people are having their 360's die after the major update earlier this month. I didn't play mine for a few weeks after the update, and when I did it started freezing up like crazy. Tonight it finally died and I got the three red rings of death. I'm gunna call support later and bitch. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've also heard that it's a problem with the earlier editions of the 360, and I know that a bunch of us got it from the everytenminutes thing.

Bah my Xbox has died once already, and if it dies again I am going to ask for my money back -- microsoft = currently thinking of ways to make crappy products look pretty

There was a problem with a lot of people having problems after the March update but haven't read about that many people having probs with the 6/6 update. Got a link?

I found a similar thread on xbox-scene. WTF, even if my xbox were out of warranty (as all the pepsi promotion ones are now), I would demand that MS fix this for free if this happened to me. I did the update not too long ago but I haven't had any problems yet.

yeah i havent had any problems either. the strange thing is i could have sworn i did this update twice. were there 2 updates a few days apart?

my total at dunks the other day was 6.66
