this might be considered a spoiler...
[spoilerbf5909c3a5]venom storyline has the symbiote suit attaching itself to peter parker first, and then he rids himself of it and it finds it's way to eddie brock, which becomes the venom we all know. I read this was supposed to be a two part movie 3&4. With 3 focusing on spiderman battling the suit, and setting up the character of eddie brock, and then at the end venom enters the storyline. and then the next movie really focuses on that part. The teaser seems to suggest that, but it was all rumors so who knows.[/spoilerbf5909c3a5]

from the trailer i see nothing about venom. I would be so pissed if he wasnt in this. I had my hopes up for the ultimate battle. 2 villins (sandman and venom vs spiderman) Guess its just sandman in this one
the whole symbiote storyline is a great storyline and should translate well into the movies. someone who is looking ahead to venom is missing a great development of peters character as well as the menace of the symbiote. should be good.

Heh, I watch That 70s Show every day—it's the only show I watch—so this is the best part of the movie to me.

Yeah im from the cleveland,ohio area and i know that they did some recording in that city about 3 or 4 months ago. I think it might have been because they couldnt block off parts of NYC but im not sure exactly why. I just know that htey did do some recordingin Cleveland.
yeah they are filming in manhattan, or were last week.

sweeeeeeet i love being right! he was only in the trailer for a split second and i knew he was going to be eddie brock, this is going to be his breakout for movies......i love that 70's show and his last movie 'in good company' was very bland but watchable.

venom will be in the movie I remember reading about some guy making a black suit for topher grace. Or during filming someone seeing topher in said suit. They just don't want to give that away now in a teaser trailer. He probably won't show up till the last third of the movie, and I assume the film will end with a cliff hanger.

im really pumped about this new one, i hope they view more to the higher age population just b/c i felt the first 2 were geared to a younger audience, which the comics portray something a lot more mature than the movies lately.

There's 2 basic storylines for Venom, one from the comics and one from the cartoon. The comic storyline is complicated where he goes to outer space...etc...For the cartoon J.J.'s son brings back the alien symbiote from the moon...the shuttle crashes on re-entry, Peter Parker is at the crash site, symbiote hops aboard. Meanwhile Eddie Brock gets pissed at Spiderman for ruining his life, and finds the symbiote somehow after Peter gets rid of it...and Venom is Eddie Brock with the symbiote.
Also, the symbiote eventually creates a spawn, which hops aboard Cletus Kasady, a crazy serial killer...Carnage is born.
I'm hoping Carnage makes an appearance sometime...hopefully in 4

I saw these pictures of the villains the other day. They are supposedly from models of what the toys look like. Shortly after AICN posted them, they were removed per Sony's request. So I think this is a real character model of venom, don't click if you don't want to see.

I would think they were building up to venom since he has the black suit now, lol. Can't just dump Venom in the film without explanation. I think the trailer looks awesome, I saw it mentioned on G4 last night and I got excited.
