So I'm getting a Nokia 6682, and want to start getting some mp3 ringtones ready. Anyone know of some decent, simple software? All I want to do is take short clips of various songs for ringtones. TIA

It also doesn't exist. )
It's now Adobe Audition, and currently at 2.0. It's a bit much for just editing ringtones though.

Ah, well that's an old version. Adobe acquired it a few years ago and put out new versions as "Adobe Audition" now.
If it still does everything you need, then I guess there's no reason to upgrade. shrug
