got the same thing.. when I try to hit" submit" to reply to a pm.

I also get an apache user/pass prompt when I view my pm's.

tjwor, you were sending an e-mail through the board, right? I just sent one to TSJ and it worked. It could possibly have been due to the address you were sending to. Try it again, and if you still get the error, try sending a test e-mail to me or TSJ or somebody else.

JustBlaze, you said you're having an error sending PM's? Because I just checked and I didn't have a problem.

The password/prompt has been happening for a lot of us, it just started a week or so ago. We think it's related to a Firefox update. Are those seeing it using Firefox, or any browser? And what version? I've discussed it with Tyler and he thinks it might be related to the RSS feed, so I may have to temporarily disable RSS to look into it.

I get the pass prompt using Firefox 1.5.0.4.

It's been happening to me for possibly two weeks now and it seemed to happen just after I updated to 1.5.0.4.

no, i was using the "quick reply" function at the bottom... it gave me that so i clicked back and did it again, and it posted twice...

there's an RSS feed built into the page code of the PM area so that browsers like safari get that automatic live bookmark icon. firefox apparently now likes to try to precache those (i wont get into why that would piss me off) and so it asks for authentication. since most rss readers do not support cookies or phpbb's login functions the authentication has to be 'wrapped' in HTTP auth.

as for the mail issue, this server sends out a lot of mail (up to 5-10,000 messages a day from fusioncash alone) and sometimes the sendmail daemon gets overloaded and chokes. when you reply to a thread, anyone who was subscribed to it gets an email from the board which is why that error sometimes shows up.

i got the same message trying to reply to a PM. I also tried to send a PM instead of "replying," and I'm still getting that message.

So, what should we do to send pms? Will it work if we just wait an hour or so? Or we need to do something?

odd. the message did go through b/c the guy replied back to me. i just get the error debug message as if it didn't go through.

the message goes thru but u still get the error msg, same happened to me

LOL that means I spammed the kid.. I pmed him at least 10 times.. Thinking it would work now.. now .. now lol

I keep getting this prompt to enter in my username and pass everytime i go clicking my PMs and i'm already logged in.
