not sure, but probably not since the ibook is a discontinued product.

They'd give you whatever they have the G4's priced at in store. I've had no problems returning Apple products at both Apple and CompUsa stores. Just don't be dumb and say Freepay sent you a laptop and you'd like to return it there.

ok, well does anyone know of any way (besides eBay, and returning it to the store illegally) that you can get the most money for an ibook?

why would it be illegal to return it to the store. all you have to say is that it was a gift. Thats not a lie.

You Hi I got this Ibook as a gift and would like to return it for store credit.
Apple Oh okay can I see your receipt?
You I don't have a receipt I got it as a gift and would just like store credit instead.
Apple Ok, let me do that for you.

well, first of all they scan it in, and they will see it didnt come from an apple store. With ipods, sometimes they do sometimes they don't care. With laptops, they have a directive not to take them at all. Also, one of the employees there told me that they have a bit of wiggle room, i.e. a manager can make an exception, but they will only do it if the laptop was bought within 14 days, and in the case of nuitech, yfd, the laptops show up as if they were bought in march, and they were just shipped whenever you receive it. That is just my experiences, you might get lucky with some new worker there, It still might be worth a shot if its not too far out of the way.
