Paying for referrals?

I have never understood this popular practice on FiPG. I have nothing against people that do it or anything like that, I just think it's wierd that some people are [i9620e9e0d0]paying [/i9620e9e0d0]to get free stuff... seems contradictory to me. I guess the reasoning is that you pay $25 to 4 people, that's $100 and you can get an iPod Nano worth $200. I can understand that.

Then again, I feel like I can get a referral whenever I need one by trading. Whenever I need a referral and I [i9620e9e0d0]can't [/i9620e9e0d0]trade for some reason, I just buy a Simon's gift card ($22) and give it to a friend, who completes the offer for me for free. Then I take the rest of the money back (usually $21) and spend it like cash. To me, this seems like a better option than paying $25.

Opinions?

It might not be free when we pay for refs, but its cheap as hell... if you already want an xbox 360, why not save a few hundred?

19-06-2006 15:36:41

The way you describe is against most sites TOS so thats why I don't do it. Paying or trading gets you a lot of stuff for a lot cheaper. The world was better when paying for a ref cost $10-12 but thats long gone...

Iloveipods2

19-06-2006 15:52:23

never paid for 1 referral. muahahahaha and I could probably complete any site(given enough time)

I'm done with freepay and this has been posted many times before

what i'll do is do sites for paypal...spend 100 to get referrals and get 200...100 profit..etc...eventaly u'll have all "free" cash to offer for free gifts

JordanE

19-06-2006 16:14:23

Once you start getting into alot of trading. You start running out of offers and sites that you can legitimatly do. Sometimes its just way easier to pay $25.

Plus i'm glad people pay right now theres still a good ratio of traders/payers that its still pretty easy to trade and get a site done. Plus you have the option to do sites for paypal and make an easy $100 any given day.

A year or two down the road though there might be some big problems with trading. Since the number of people who olny pay is growing all time. There might be very few people who actually trade. There for making it very difficult to finish sites.

i like people payin for other people to do it. site owners are always having problems with fraud on the offers, myself as a site owner expierenced this in my first week of running and they wanted to shut me down....but i worked it out and now everything is gettin better for NexiCash payouts are on monday...

I can see why some people pay for refs, but I personally never will, just so I can say I've gotten everything totally 100% free. Even the offers I buy are free trials, so I cancel and pay nothing.

How many offers are you doing where you "pay nothing?" Probably 99% of offers involve a nominal trial fee for shipping/handling or processing, anywhere from $1 to $10. I've done a heckuva lot of offers, and very VERY few wind up being free even after cancellation.

So technically, even if you pay $5 for your trial offer, it really isn't free. ;)

He's right. Personally I can't think of any sites that don't charge at least a $1 fee to check that your card is working. And most of them never give that back (not that it matters, but then it isn't free is it?).

And don't talk about cancellation on this site. That's not what we're here for wink .

No, the point is that we have representatives from the sites that are members here, and if they see you talking about cancelling they won't help FiPG anymore. You are supposed to be honestly interested in the offer you sign up for.

Crymson

20-06-2006 20:12:01

Well I understand that, but I'm not telling anyone to cancel, and the point I made was that I personally have never run into any offers which charge $1 to see if my card is working...like you mentioned.

Also, if any trials I bought would have peaked my interest, there is no doubt that I would've kept them, which is where the offer sites win. The offer site representives can't expect people to keep their service, if the people don't enjoy it...Me being able to say I've gotten everything 100% free, is just kind of a side effect of me not liking the offer )

most of the offers are stupid. seriously, they are.

Has anybody on this entire forum, purposely stayed enrolled in an autopay/ship for some diet/weener/longevity pills (or even true). Seriously

The only good one is bbuster/netflix. They are worthy. And maybe some others.

The average human can only be legitemately interested in 2-7 offers. Any more than that, and they are BSing.

Sure, maybe the autoships are a little expensive. But if you had done the Cruising4-cash offer, you would be well on your way to being a millionaire by re-selling cars purchased at government auctions, like I am.

That alone has paid for all the rest of my autoships and subscriptions.

wait a second, the cruising for cash offer has nothing to do with government vehicles, it has to do with covering your car full of advertisement and getting paid for it.
