I have been looking at some options for connecting my 360 to a wireless connection. Must I buy the new 360 wireless adapter or can I use the old xbox one or just buy some cheaper alternative? I would really like to fleabay it or something for $20-30. Thanks for the help.
skillet here is what I have going at my house....
verizon router -->
wireless router
----> wired to 360
----> wired to ftp server
----> wireless to whatever else including main PC, laptop, dell axim....
this setup is possible if u can put your wireless router near the tv that has your 360. it is great b/c then I don't have to worry about wireless interference for playing 360 thru live

I think the one from Xbox is probably the best. Whether you can use the old one or not is beyond me, however they fleabay for about $40-$70 bucks.

does anyone know of something made by d-link, linksys or something else? it would be very difficult to hardwire my 360 because its pretty far from the router. so wireless seems to be the best option right now. would any of these work?

no clue. i would check any of the multitude of xbox sites out there. i cant think of any at this time sorry (
From my understanding (over at Xbox-Scene.com), you have to use either the XBOX or XBOX 360 Wireless Adapter by Microsoft for the XBOX 360. While that adapter would work on the XBOX, I don't think it will work for the 360.

the microsoft original xbox wireless adapter will work on the 360. Find one on ebay for good price. OR you can buy new xbox 360 wireless adapter for like 99. Those are the two options. They really make a killing off wireless adapters.....

i quickly gave up on getting a wireless adapter. i am saving my $99 and just dropping $15 on a 50 foot ethernet cable to string from the living room back to the computer room where i will connect it to one of the three open ports on my router. sure, i will have cords running all over the place, but i really do not see myself using xbox live too much. i want to explore a bit, but probably not for more than a few hours a week.

I noticed thisstuffisfree network has an xbox page with the wireless adapter on it. Anyone have any luck with this network before? How difficult is it to get 20 refs for a site like that? I realize the offers are all non credit card but 20 is a heck of a lot.
