I'm going on a mission trip to mexico July 7th and I need an adapter to charge my iPod and other portable electronics while I'm there. Does anyone know where I can get one?

I'm pretty sure that only the resort towns use the same outlet. Also, I don't think home depot sells those.

They have the same 110v mains as the US, but different outlets in most places. "Americanized" border towns like Juarez and Tijuana, and the resort areas, may have the same outlet as US.

Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. all sell the international adapters.

Even though you may think that since your town is "Americanized", I would still recommend getting the international adapter if the cost isn't too hefty. Better safe than sorry if it's under $15-20. Where are you going in Mexico? Maybe I've been there. P

OK, be careful when charging electrical stuff in foreing countries because even though you have an adapter, their power is dirty and spikes and browns out. It can fuck up your stuff...

As long as your not going to the shitty parts of Mexico, you should be fine without the power adapter.

Guys, I'm going on a mission trip. I'm not going to an americanized part of mexico. Anyway, I'm going to Guadalajara; I have been there before, but never used an outlet. It's actually really nice there, you get a real feel for the city and the culture there, and they have an incredible taco place! ;) I am going to be building houses for the poor people who live up in the valleys near Lake Chapala, which has invasive water hyacinth from the shores of the lake till' about 40 yards into the lake and these people have to fish in it! shock (Look up Lake Chapala, Mexico on google earth and you should be able to see it)
