I don't get them at all. I've been listening the last 1-2 weeks on my way to work every morning, and I just don't find them funny.

That being said, I still listen to them every morning. I think I like the sounds of their voices or something... it's weird. Or maybe I just can't find anything better to put on. I also like how they use/say the word "dope" as in "you [i005c7112db]dope[/i005c7112db]."

Carlos Mencia is not funny.

At all.

I assume you're just watching the FM show, which is good, but not nearly as good as the xm show. Another thing is that a TON of the humour on the show is very inside humour that you won't get unless you listen for a while. Once you start to understand more of the stuff they say it becomes MUCH funnier.

Hmm, if I knew where Homdel was, I'd go there, considering I live in NJ.

Bob Saget?...

Patrice Oneal, on the other hand, is hilarious.

Mencia is meh.

I'm seeing Lewis Black at AC on Aug 11th. =)

I agree 100%, but not everyone here agrees, so I added his name.

Lewis is a bit on the outs with the show for not coming back on once they got to XM (short of a phonecall, I think), but Saget is the polar opposite of the guy we all know from TV. When he was on O&A, I had to check outside to see if the sky was still blue in this universe. He works that blue. Very funny guy. (Search his name on Oink for a Breuer appearance that'll give you an idea)

plusnightlife, check out www.oavirus.com for old material you may have missed that will give you a better understanding of what you aren't getting.

Just went to this year's show at Jones Beach on Saturday and was blown away by how good it was. There's already some clips on Youtube of Stephen Lynch, Bob Saget and Otto & George up. I'm sure more will make it on there. The comics feel they hurt future gigs, so they probably won't be up long.

Louie C.K. Patrice O'Neal, Saget and Lynch were the real highlights of the night. I couldn't keep from cracking up. Lynch was flawless with perfect timing. No surprise he closed the show.

Whether you love or hate O&A, if you like comedy this is a great show to see. )

Colin Quinn would make a great addition (or better yet, replacement for Mencia).

Joe Rogan was to be his replacement. They traded dates between them last year. It's weird since Rogan was supposed to be a sure thing again this year. I'd hate to think Carlos had enough pull to say "Me or him" this time around. (

Quinn is still in Howie's good graces, and he's trying to straddle the line there. If they had a falling out, Colin would practically be living at XM. He's a real friend, but like Jim Florentine, doesn't want to burn a bridge.

On this tour, Lynch is the one to try to get tix for. He's not doing every date. I'm glad I saw him. I wouldn't have been as happy in Boston.

Also, the tailgating is nuts. If you're short on cash, don't worry about food. People brought enough to feed everyone. Even K-Rock had free wings and heroes.

Here was the lineup on Saturday

Bob Kelly
Bob Saget
Frank Caliendo
Jim Norton
Louis C.K.
Otto & George
Patrice O'Neal
Rich Vos
Stephen Lynch

Other dates include Mencia, Lewis Black and some yet unannounced. 8)

I might get to PNC to catch Lewis Black. Dunno how easy it is to get there yet, though. )

Can't stand Mencia, I wish they'd book Rogan so they could have another throw down. I'm waiting for Mencia to throw a punch so Rogan can kick his ass. lol

Don't care for O&A but a big fan of comedy. I'd love to take in one of these.

Stephen Lynch is hilarious, go because of him alone.

Can anyone recommend some good stand-up guys for me to download? I know it's slightly off-topic, but it liisli about stand-up.

I've got a ton of Lewis Black, and I enjoy Carlin.. any other suggestions?

Stephen Lynch.

Seriously.

My favorite up and coming comic is Mitch Fatel[=http//www.mitchfatel.com]Mitch Fatel. He comes off sounding like a stoner or a retard, but he's not -- it's just shtick. And I think he's hilarious. I inevitably have to wipe the tears away when he comes on XM 150.

Ditto on Lynch. Also CK, O'Neal and Norton. Try YouTube to sample some of their material. IMO, Saget always sucked on O&A, but he killed on stage. Really surprised me.
