So I will be moving in to a dorm this fall and during orientation they discussed usage of their network and internet and what-not. One of thier big no-nos, which if violated could result in loss of internet priviledges (sorry about spelling, im so tired), was no server hosting off of their network. Now I was planning on bringing my 360 and with it, xbox live. Will playing xbox live violate this rule or am I safe?

Sorry if this may seem obvious but I am just worried that I may not be able to play live.

Thanks

um.... when you host a server on XBOX live, you dont use your connection. It would suck ass, one reason why you pay for XBOX Live is so that you can use their servers when you host a game.

Although, you might be sending a small ammount of information, I have a 360 but I dont know much about live since im a pc gamer. But I think you should be fine.

you're wrong... live hosts games on client machines.

in our school we had to register our gaming systems that were on the network. If you had an xbox and used live you would have to register your machine with the networking people. They won't have a problem with you doing what you want to do probally.

I'd just make sure it's okay with the school, maybe ask around a little bit, before you go on XBox live.
