no where near the same quality.[/quote35f0d2b8ce]
I guess you've never seen a Lajo case, or else you wouldn't make such an assumption. I've held both, and short of some mold changes that iSkin introduced after the split with Lajo (slightly increased thickness in the corners) to differentiate their new skins from their old Lajo ones (same molds), they are the SAME quality.
[quote35f0d2b8ce="Iloveipods2"]the lajo is completly different. the iskin has a clear plastic front cover that inserts sorta into the silicon front that covers the click wheel(really hard to explain). the lajo is much more simple. but 1/3 the price. [/quote35f0d2b8ce]
I assume you're referring to iSkin's wheel caps versus Lajo's built in clickwheel protection.
Lajo appears to be the first company to come up with the idea of leaving a layer of silicone across the clickwheel hole, rather than leaving it open. They can do this, because the touch sensitive wheel can detect touch through silicone. iSkin could do this, but instead went with creating seperate products (more money for them) to insert in the hole to protect the wheel. The obvious problem, is that dirt and debris can still get in, because there's a gap between the iSkin and wheel cap. It's not 100% snug. The Lajo skins have no gaps, because it's one continuous layer.
I don't hate iSkins, they're good. However, when you look at all the brands out there, Lajo repeatedly comes up as the best quality for the money, and of a better design. Lajo was also the first to come out with designs.
[quote35f0d2b8ce="Iloveipods2"]from various reviews I ended up getting the iskin after realizing that the iskin's design is actually researched from how thick the click wheel's silicon should be to the various locations of the pores in the back so that it won't attract lint(which I read the lajo attracts alot of)[/quote35f0d2b8ce]
A lot of that research occured before the iSkin/Lajo split, so the Lajo skins also benefit from good design. As for the lint issue, silicone attracts it.
Even iSkins[=http//www.iskin.com/faq/index.html]Even iSkins. ;)
There have been anti-static treated skins, but that protection isn't long lived. Non-silicone varieties don't attract lint, but they often cost more. In case you didn't know, the remedy to lint is to powder your skin in talcum powder every so often.
Trust me, I did a lot of research, and I went with Lajo.

Here's a chart for 4G skins

(The chart will still give you an idea about the features when looking for 5G skins)
I like flat backs and clickwheel protection, so I went with eXo2fb's for my 4G iPods.
