your gonna need to specify what amp(s) are powering the subs... keep in mind, the sub enclosure or sub box is as important as any of your components.. w/o a good box, your system will sound horrible.

I plan on working the batteries, custom fiberglass enclosures, amps and compasators and wiring etc. around the subwoofers.
Head unit will be based on those too.

I would just go with one nice 12" sub with nice amp and box. it will be more than enough bass and you will still have quite a bit of trunk room. i have one 8" bazooka tube in my wrangler and it packs a punch. a nice 12 could put out more bass than 3 10's too.

Well that truely depends. I personally hate bazookas...
If you could, choose one of the top 4 options(in the poll) or suggest a specific sub. Thanx.
Im thinking about getting 2 of the new 12" gray kicker subs for my car, but I wont have enough money for another month or so

You mean the new Kicker SoloX S12X2's?

Is a 15" sub not an option? I don't know much about the subs you listed above but I know you can get 2 12" Alpine Type R's for around $250 shipped which is pretty good.

Might be outta your price range but a single JL sub 12" will have much higher SPL than any of those. and much more SQ.

I had 2 rockford HX2's and they were so freakin loud. I've had kickers and sony's and I like the Rockfords by far. VERY loud and hard hitting and clear. I had a 1000 watt 2 channel Rockford amp.

Which one?
My price range is between 6-800 for subs...not including amp/head unit/ etc.
Also not including enclosures. I plan on making/having friends help make some custom fiberglass enclosures and amp racks.(my system...if I get the car I am gonna look at tommorow, will cost over 3times the ammount of the car...whoot I'ma tard...who loves music)

the JL 12W7....the thing hits like a freakin beast.
Costs around 500 apiece though.
You gotta be prepared to give it a good amp though if you want nice SPL.
I think it can take like 1000 watts RMS...I think the JL site is down right now or I'd find it for you.
