I got a message today from someone supposedly in the Philipines -
[quote98497c6e70]Dear Sir/Madam I'm just wondering if you can ship to Philippines? I'd like to buy your item because I need it to send to my brother-in-law for his birthday. I am planning to pay you thru my PayPal account using my credit card and I am willing to pay with the BUY IT NOW Price as well as the shipping charges. Here is where I stay for your reference Country Philippines City Malolos Zip 3000. Please check the shipping rates at UPS Worldwide Express which usually ships 2-3 days only and kindly advice the grandtotal (Buy It Now price + S/H via UPS Worldwide Express), and I will send the funds ASAP. Thank you and I'm hoping for your kind consideration.[/quote98497c6e70]
I would like to do this because he/she will pay $400 + $20 shipping for it but something seems fishy about it. What do you guys think? I really need to get rid of this iPod from Freepay. I've never got around to listing it and now I finally have.

Tell him you will only do it if he pays w/ Western Union.

It's the Nigerian scam with a few of the details changed. Don't do it.

Alright thanks guys. D
I asked if he/she could pay with Western Union but most likely I'm just gonna stay out of this mess. I was pretty sure it was a scam but I just wanted to confirm. Thanks again Gigante and Keith. ;)

lol but no ones gonna buy ur ipod for $420, price already drop considerably.
It sells for like 380 shipped from amazon and 374 from macmall.
If u want to get rid of it quickly, make a 1 day acution
it'll probably go for around 360-370 shipped.

I wasn't expecting anyone to. I started off the auction at 99 cents.

You can set restrictions on your auctions. That way no one that just joined can bid and stuff like that.

I might be wrong, but I think you can only limit the auction to bidders with non-negative feedback.

still, u shouldn't be giving ebay extra money. I always tend to make my auction as cheap as possible like a Buy it now price of 1 cent with $80 shipping lol but hey at least I saved $2-3 on listing fees

I sent a message to ebay support about these users harassing my auctions.
Next time I list I'm just gonna make it a normal auction with no Buy it Now.
